An amazing short story that makes me hope that the next edition will come out faster! Jane did a fantastic job on developing the character, Edith Elliott as I’ve grown found of her and am itching to know what the next plot would be. This mystery novel definitely deserves a 5/5 in my opinion. Very well written and will be waiting for the next ☺
This is an intriguing story smoothly resolved by one cunning lady. It's a good distraction; doesn't take long to read. Wondering why the author couldn't do a better job of proofreading.
A good story but...
This story held my attention despite the typos and lack of editing. The ending was rather abrupt as well.
I really enjoyed this story and although there were a few typos/misspelled words etc. the story itself was pretty interesting. I have to admit that I have a soft spot for mysteries, crime-solving, detective stories, etc. so this was right up my alley. My main complaint was that it was over before I knew it and the next story in the Amateur Sleuth Series isn't done yet. Write some more, come on!
The plot is not to bad but the editing is mediocre at best. Mistake after mistake makes for a really choppy story.. Will check back on this author in a couple of years to see if she is any better.
First there was Nancy, Then Veronica, now there's Edith. I like sleuthing sorisd. The entire enjoyment is trying o peg it before the protagonist does. Jayne crafted amazement, and I can't wait for the next adventure.
I'm a fan of British cozies and this was a fun start to a new series. The main character, Edith, eavesdrops on a conversation and gets involved. She comes up with a large list of suspects. Was it murder or suicide? Read it and see what happens.
This was a interesting short story that you can enjoy in one sitting. I look forward to reading more adventures with Edith!
